Fashion Drawing and Design workshops Day 1 and Day 2 are practical workshops that introduce concepts in design and teach skills that are required in different design industries.
Fashion Illustration workshop Day 1
Drawing fashion figures and clothes
Date - 17 MARCH 2012
Time - 9 am -2 pm
Cost - $150
It is an intensive workshop that includes following:
- Fashion Figure drawing basics
- Drawing the human body as a fashion figure
- Proportion and foreshortening
- Hair, head and facial features
- Black and white rendering in lead pencil, tonal and textural illustration techniques
- Drawing the garment on the fashion figure
- Focus on shape and fabric draping
- Designing and drawing fashion designs
-Drawing draping, ruffles, gathers , ect
Color rendering and creating collections
- Rendering techniques -skin, hair, fabrics What to bring
Coloured pencils, set of 24-36
HB lead pencil
A3 and A4 paper( photocopy paper is ideal)
Ruler
Black ,red,blue art line pens
Pantone or other brand markers (optional)- skin colours

Date - 21 APRIL 2012
Time - 9 am -2 pm
Cost - $150
Learn how professional Fashion Designers create collections in this 5 hour short course.
You will learn everything about design development and presentation of a Fashion range based on an occasion, theme or storyline.
Learn how to design fashion collections, create a mood board and a trend board and more.
You will need to have good drawing skills in order to draw fashion designs and fabrics.
What skills you will gain:
- conduct research,analyse market
- prepare storyboards, artwork, drawings
- planning,orginising,problem solving
- communicate effectively with design team
- design a collection based on an occasion,theme or storyline
- work with fabrics, trims, colours and styles
What to bring
2–3 fashion magazines, scissors, glue, scraps of any fabrics
2 coloured A3 sheets to create a storyboard
